As many of our customers already know, our owner, Dave, is battling cancer and has not been able to work

since May of last year. As a result of his absence and a lack of qualified staff, we have had to reduce our hours.

We are closing at 3PM rather than 6PM. We will continue to serve breakfast until 2PM.

We will return to our regular hours as soon as we can!


Our need for help varies by season and circumstance.

Experience is helpful, but we will train the right person.

Must be at least 18 years old and speak fluent English. 

We're looking for friendly and reliable team-oriented people who care about providing a quality product and great customer service, and work well in busy environments. Responsibilities include taking orders and following through with customers start to finish, and maintaining high standards including cleanliness. We like to give our employees more responsibilities over time and may be looking for someone who could take on a managerial role.

All clerks will be required to use a meat slicer (hence the minimum 18-year old NYS requirement), and must be able to figure out correct change for customers. Our roots go back to the 1950's, and we are definitely not a typical delicatessen, so all staff need to be willing to accept direction and learn the Edelweiss way! Catering is also done on premises. Hours/days are flexible, and pay will be discussed on an individual basis.
